Rubik's Cube in Singapore

I was buying some toys for the kids. Decided to just get it from Takashimaya nearby the hotel I'm staying.

Then I saw it.... Rubik's Cubes. I enjoy solving and collect Rubik's Cubes.

I look at it carefully, checking the colour and its arrangement (yellow opposite white, red opposite orange, blue opposite green). It basically has the official colour and arrangement. Decided to buy the 3x3x3 Rubik's Cubes which cost me SGD10.95 each.

They also selling the 4x4x4 Rubik's Cube also known as Rubik's Revenge. I decide to get this one also. Cost me SGD19.95.

4x4 Rubik's Cube

But what got me most excited is the 5x5 Rubik's Cube also known as Rubik's Professor Cube. Cost only SGD29.95. If I were to order it from rubiks.com it will cost me USD29.99.

I've never solved a normal rubicks cube in my life (usually because I give up after a few twists and turns hehe) but I would imagine it would take eons to solve the 5x5!

I never try the 5x5. Also no intention to take it out from the box. This is only for my collection.

Hello reza, which toy store at takashimiya did you buy from? I was looking for a high quality one.
    Thankyou.

Hi Engineer Artist... it's the Takashimiya main building... i think the toystore is at level 4....

BTW... although the rubik cube has the correct colour scheme, it's not original (hard to twist).... better buy from www.rubiks.com

    nah man..

it is the original.. if you're into speedcubing.. or rather if you want it to be easier to twist.. just take the cube apart and oil it with petroleum jelly or something.. u cant get it for really cheap at any departmental store.. itll twist really fast den..

    cheers

hey, i was wondering which store did you get the rubiks cube from?

i'm looking for a proper one, not the stuff you get from random shops where the whole thing dismantles when you start trying to solve it.

    thanks

    @romeo -

Oh, boy. I am having a hard time locating a shop that sells 4x4 here. Funskool is not marketing 4x4 anymore.

Have to come to singapore soon ;)

    Nice to meet you.
