2 May 1957, 7:45pm correspond to 1st Syawal, Radio Brunei began its initial broadcast with the female voice announcing "Inilah Radio Brunei" (This is Radio Brunei). The female presenter name is Dayangku Intan (Pengiran Hajah Intan binti PDP Pengiran Haji Apong). This morning I attended an Golden Jubilee (50 years) Radio Brunei Celebration Opening Ceremony at Radio Televisyen Brunei. Guest of Honor was the Crown Prince.
I was thinking of bringing my digital camera but then I thought I just leave it as my camera is not really that small. Sometime I just wish I got those small camera which can slip in my pocket. All guest attended this morning was given a goodie bag. Inside the bag there's a book and a couple of sourvenoir. The book is very interesting. I actually like the book. There's lots of old photos.

One of the section in the book show photos of Radio Brunei visitors also comprised popular actors and actresses from overseas from the golden years to the 80s and 90s.
Photo below showing Allahyarham Tan Sri P.Ramlee. The lady in the middle is probably his wife.
The guy third from the right (picture below) really look familiar. I think he is a popular malaysian actor. Anyone know who he is please let me know.

Anyway, I do respect his decision, it's not easy doing a blog post everyday as what he did for the last 2 years. Personally, I've gain more knowledge regarding Brunei and the histories from his blog.
Thank you Mr BR (photo taken from here)

Figure out who is who?

The giant flag was then handed over by the guest of honour to the Royal Brunei Navy. They raised the giant flag accompanied by the National Anthem.
Please stand for the National Anthem of Brunei Darussalam
This is the first time I went to see the ceremony and I didn’t expect it to be a very formal function. Should I knew it earlier, I will wear something more appropriate. Probably then I can get more close up photos.
