Maulud Nabi

Today is the day of birth of Prophet Muhammad S.A.W. I didn't go for the gatherings and processions this morning. I guess I should have. Dapat jua pahala. See article here.

Anyway, I remember I have an old photo of me and my dad when I was small during the Maulud Nabi gathering. Was searching for it this morning and manage to find it. See below.

I don't remember where exactly was the gathering place and what year is it. I'm sure that it was in Tutong as I grew up in Tutong District and my dad taught there during those years.

Interrupted run

Today I faced the same situation as before. 40 minutes into my run a lady came and look behind to see the times the runners use the big treadmills including me. The other two runners only around 5 minutes. She then walk to the counter and probably complain about me.

I was thinking.... "not again".

She then walk to my treadmill, stood in front of it and says to me something. I can't hear anything she say as I was listening to my iPod. I also purposely ignore her. However, I lose my mood to continue. Press the cool down button at 44 minutes point and the distance run was around 6.6KM. Didn't even bother to take the treadmill reading pictures. Burn around 500 calories.

After the run, I continue with some weight exercises. Did 4 x 12 repetitions dumbell exercises for the biceps and triceps followed by 4 x 8 repetitions of bench press.

Meet the Robinsons

Didn't have the mood to do any exercise yesterday. I was thinking of an excuse for me to skip exercise. Told the missus let's watch Mr Bean at Empire Cinema.

However, she wanted to bring the kids to watch Meet the Robinsons instead. Show started 7:20pm. We only brought Syaza and Fa'iz along, 'Aqiel stay back home.

Less that one minute into the movie, Fa'iz signal us he don't want to watch it and wanted to go out. Furthermore, tears started coming out of his eyes. Hmmm.... I brought him out. He didn't want to go back home instead he just want to hang around. So I just hang around with him at the waiting area for 1½ hours.

So what did we do? I just took some photos as you see here. Chat with some friends who were waiting for the Mr Bean 8:30pm show.

I can't say much about the
Meet the Robinsons movie. Don't know what's it all about. Only saw the scene where the lady left the kids on the doorsteps.

That's the shortest movie I watch in any cinema.

I still felt very tired yesterday from the Monday trip. Back from work I was thinking whether to rest or go to gym. If it were just me, I'll probably just rest and sleep. Since the missus is so motivated these days to go to gym, I decided to accompany her.

When we reach there, we saw the gym were fully packed and the treadmills were all fully occupied. Did some stretch first, then exercise on the Elliptical Machine. Five minutes into the exercise, I saw two ladies completed their run on the big treadmills. I quickly went to one of the machine and start my run.

Since I didn't feel like running one hour. I decided to do a 5KM run. Completed 5KM in 33.04 minutes.

Ulu Temburong National Park

As mention in my previous blog post, I went to Belalong yesterday. The exact destination I need to be is at the Ulu Temburong National Park Headquarters and Information Centre. Here's the GPS coordinates (04 33.330'N 115 09.322'E). Just copy n paste this coordinate in Google Earth and you will know where exactly is this place.

This was my second trip there. My first trip was 6 years back. This time we didn't go for the Canopy walk. I did go during the first trip.

To go to the Canopy walk, you need to cross this suspension bridge first.

The Forestry Department staffs working there are really friendly. I think they are more happy seeing someone coming to the place. Otherwise, I think they feel lonely. Even the bird there was friendly.

By the way, there's an exhibition hall there. You can see a miniature model of the area showing the direction to the other place such as the UBD research centre, Canopy Walk and the Waterfall.

This morning run

Went to JPMC gym with the missus this morning. Instead of going straight for the treadmill run, I decided to do some weight exercises first.

Started with the bench press for the chest muscles, then dumbell lift for biceps and triceps. Follow by another triceps exercise using the machine and lastly the back muscles exercises.
End with a 4KM run @ 25.26 minutes before pressing the cool down button.

Initially I was thinking of going to JPMC gym in the morning but then felt a bit lazy and went in the afternoon instead. Spent around 2 hours in the gym. Start with a one hour run. Here's my run summary :

After the run, chat with Bruneian who happen to be swimming at the pool. Then I decided to do some weight exercises.

I need more sleep

I was feeling very tired yesterday due to lack of sleep the previous day. Nonetheless, I went to the gym after work for my run. Half-way through my run, I don't feel like going for an hour so decided to just go for a 5KM run.

After run, I went to the Jacuzzi area to meet up with AnakBrunei and Bruneian. Had a quick chat with them before I went back home.

Running or Massage

Last night me and the missus went for our massage. After work, I was thinking either to go for my run or get a massage. Convince the missus to go for a massage. Sent her to Harizzah while I went to Pearl Health. Both place in Kiulap.

I'm a regular at Pearl Health. I go there at least 3 times a month. Normally I go for 1½ hour Foot Reflexology, Head and Shoulder massage. I have tried Harizzah and Zen Spa before but I still prefer Pearl Health. The foot reflexology or massage do help my legs feel stronger for the following week run. I also think it helps to reduce tight muscles and to prevent injuries with all the running I do every week.

For the 1½ hour session it cost me BND 35.00 and for 1 hour session it cost BND 25.00.

I bought rezafaizal.com domain name 3 years back but didn't renew it. Then early this year I decided to purchase rezafaizal.com again but found out someone has actually bought this domain name. It also shows that this domain name will expire in January 2008. I really want to have my own domain name, so to cut the story short I bought contactreza.com. Somehow I don't really feel publicizing contactreza.com.

Then last night, I key in rezafaizal.com at GoDaddy. To my suprise, it shows that the domain name is available. Without wasting anytime, I bought this domain. From today on, I'm forwarding rezafaizal.com to this blog.

Quick run

Went to the gym with the missus around 7pm today. Place was fully pack with gym members. While doing my stretch exercises, two runners step out of the big treadmills. I felt really lucky to be able to run on the big treadmill today. Ran 5KM, the body was feeling tired not because of the run but due to lack of sleep.

I just took my Mandarin lesson level 1 examination this evening. I'm glad I completed my lesson and took the examination. Not sure how I did today. I hope I pass it so that I can get the certificate. Level 2 starts next Monday.
